Checking and replacing the brake fluid level switch sensor (Honda Civic 6)

1. Disconnect the electrical connector of the sensor-switch and remove the cover from the master cylinder reservoir.

2. Check the float movement of the sensor. If signs of jamming are detected, replace the assembly.



3a. Using an ohmmeter, make sure there is no conductivity between the terminals of the sensor-switch connector when the float is raised...



3b....and in its presence with the float lowered (see accompanying illustrations). If the test results are negative, replace the sensor-switch assembly.
