Examination
1. Disconnect the electrical connector of the sensor-switch and remove the cap from the GTZ reservoir.
2. Check the freedom of movement of the sensor float. If there are signs of jamming, replace the assembly. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between the terminals of the sensor-switch connector when the float is raised and that it is present when the float is lowered.
3. Make sure there is continuity between the connector terminals with the float lowered.
4. At negative results of checks replace the faulty gauge switch.
Replacement
1. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the sensor-switch.
2. Remove the cap from the GTZ reservoir and replace it complete with the sensor-switch.
3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
