1. Remove the fuel filler cap.
2. Remove the EVAP canister 2-way valve.
3. Disconnect the evaporator line from two-way valve A of the EVAP canister. Attach it to the Gauge Kit and Vacuum Gauge Adapter and Vacuum Pump B as shown.
4. Apply vacuum slowly and continuously while observing the vacuum gauge. The valve should open at a pressure of 1.33 kPa.
- If the vacuum pressure is less than 1.33 kPa, go to step 5
- If vacuum pressure does not hold, replace the EVAP reversible valve.
5. Move vacuum pump away from vacuum connector to high pressure connector A as shown.
6. Slowly increase the pressure in the vacuum circuit while observing the pressure gauge. The valve must open at a pressure above 5.07 kPa.
- If the pressure is kept below 5.07 kPa, the valve is OK.
- If pressure does not hold, replace EVAP reversible valve.
