1. Remove the fuel tank filler cap.
2. Remove the EVAP canister two-way valve.
3. Disconnect the evaporation line from the two-way valve A of the EVAP absorber tank. Connect it to the measuring instrument kit and the adapter for connecting the vacuum meter and the vacuum pump B as shown.
4. Slowly and continuously apply vacuum, monitoring the vacuum gauge readings. The valve should open at a pressure of 1.33 kPa.
- If the vacuum pressure is below 1.33 kPa, proceed to step 5
- If vacuum pressure does not hold, replace the EVAP two-way valve.
5. Move the vacuum pump away from the vacuum connector to the high pressure connector A as shown.
6. Slowly increase the pressure in the vacuum circuit, monitoring the pressure gauge. The valve should open at a pressure above 5.07 kPa.
- If the pressure remains below 5.07 kPa, the valve is OK.
- If pressure does not hold, replace the EVAP two-way valve.
