Measure the length of the spring in a free state and the verticality of the springs (photo). Replace springs with shrinkage. Check for visible signs of wear and cracks on the spring plates and crackers (these parts are usually not subject to severe wear, however, wear or cracks may form on the ends of the crackers). Replace parts with any noticeable defects.
