Attention! The vehicles covered in this manual are equipped with airbags (SRS). When performing any work near the shock sensors, steering column or instrument panel, turn off the SRS (see wiring diagrams at the end of the Chapter Onboard electrical equipment).
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Attention! If the stereo system installed in the car is equipped with a security code, before disconnecting the battery, make sure that you have the correct combination to activate the audio system!
2. Remove the steering wheel (see chapter Suspension and steering).
3. Remove the center console (see Removal and installation of the center console.
4. Remove the dashboard trim (see Removal and installation of the instrument panel).
5. Remove the instrument cluster (see chapter Onboard electrical equipment).
6. Remove all sections of the instrument panel (see Removal and installation of the instrument panel).
7. Give away fasteners (nuts and bolts) fuse mounting block and hood lock release handle (see Removal and installation of a latch of the lock of a cowl and a cable of its drive and Chapter Onboard electrical equipment).
8. Give fixing nuts and lower a steering column (see accompanying illustration).
9a. Turn out fixing screws.
9b. Prying off with a screwdriver, release the air duct deflectors from the instrument panel (see accompanying illustrations).
10. Prying off with a screwdriver, remove the front door sill trims.
11. Remove the side screws securing the instrument panel assembly (see accompanying illustration).
12. Remove the radio (see chapter Onboard electrical equipment) and heater control assembly (see chapter Cooling and heating systems).
13. Remove the lower screws in the central part of the instrument panel (see accompanying illustration).
14. Turn out bolts of fastening of the top edge of a guard to a bulkhead of an impellent compartment.
15. Pull the shield towards you and disconnect all electrical wiring from it.
16. Through a steering column remove a guard from the car.
17. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
