Warning. Removing the coolant temperature sensor while the engine is hot will cause coolant to splash, which can seriously scald you. Always remove the coolant temperature sensor when the engine and radiator are cold.
Note. Bleed the cooling system after installing the temperature sensor.
1. Remove the temperature sensor from the thermostat housing.
2. Hang the temperature sensor over a container of water as shown.
3. Heat the water and measure the temperature with a thermometer.
Attention. Do not let the thermometer touch the bottom of the container.
4. Measure the resistance between the sensor contacts in accordance with the table.
