- if an intact airbag has been removed from a vehicle destined for scrap, or if a defect or damage has been discovered during transport, storage or servicing, it must be detonated.
- remove the airbag and steering wheel before removing the rack and pinion.
- After installing the rack and pinion mechanism, check the wheel alignment and adjust if necessary.
