Doors — External Handle Replacement (Honda Civic 5)

Note: Raise the glass fully

1. Remove:

• Door panel.
• Plastic lid.

2. Remove the screws.



3. Slide the latch down and remove the bolts



4. Pull the outer handle outward. Pull the lever rod out of the hinge using pliers.

Note:

• To make assembly easier, note the distance A of the outer handle rod in the hinge before disconnecting it.
• Be careful not to bend the outer handle rod.
• Use a paper towel to protect the door opening.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Note: Make sure the door opens and closes properly.
