1. Remove cap to release excess system pressure.
2. Pinch the fuel line going to the pump.
3. Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
4. Raise the rear of the vehicle. Remove the left rear wheel.
5. Mark the fuel lines. Clamp inlet and outlet hoses. Loosen the hose clamps. Slide the clips back; twist or twist the hoses when removing them.
6. Disconnect positive and mass wires from the pump.
7. Remove the fuel pump mounting bolts without losing the washers and bushings.
8. Remove the pump and its protective cover as a unit.
9. The pump is not disassembled and must be replaced if it fails.
10. Install pump and cover. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.
11. Connect the connector.
12. Connect fuel hoses.
13. Install the left rear wheel. Lower the car.
14. Install the tank cap. Connect the wire to the negative battery terminal.
15. Turn the ignition key to the position for 3 seconds "ON", listen to how the pump works. Turn off the ignition and then turn it back on "ON", by pressurizing the fuel line.
16. Start the engine. (It may take a few seconds for the fuel lines to fill completely.)
