You received two ignition keys with the car, one of which should be kept in a safe place (not in the car) and use as a spare. Each key fits all car locks.
Along with the set of car keys, you also received a plate with the number of the keys. The number of keys may be needed to make additional copies of the keys instead of the lost ones. Only Honda-approved key blanks may be used to make replacement keys.
Remote control central electric lock (built-in transmitter)
Some versions of the car are supplied with one or two keys with built-in remote controls for the central electric lock.
Such keys have an electronic circuit built into them, in which a code is written that is read by the car's immobilizer. Damage to the electronic circuit may make it impossible to start the engine.
Do not expose the keys to direct sunlight or high temperatures. Do not store keys in places with high humidity.
Do not drop the keys or place heavy objects on them.
Do not expose keys to moisture. If the keys get wet, gently wipe them dry with a soft cloth.
Immobilizer
The immobilizer is an effective anti-theft tool and protects the car from possible theft. The car engine can only be started with a specially coded key. Attempting to start the engine with the wrong key or any other device will shut off the engine's fuel system.
When the ignition is turned on (ignition key turned to position «ON» (II)) the immobilizer system indicator lights up for a few seconds and then goes out. Flashing of the indicator means that the immobilizer system has not identified the key code. In this case, turn off the ignition (turn the ignition key to position «LOCK» (0)) and remove the key from the lock. Then re-insert the key into the ignition switch and turn on the ignition (turn the key to position «ON» (II)).
The system may not recognize the code of the key in the ignition lock if there is any other immobilizer key or a metal object nearby.
If the system repeatedly refuses to identify the key code, contact your dealer or service station.
Do not attempt to make any changes or additions to the immobilizer design. This may interfere with the normal functioning of the vehicle's electronic systems and make it impossible to use.
If the key is lost and the engine cannot be started, contact your dealer.
Vehicles destined for European countries (EU directives)
The vehicle immobilizer system complies with the directive «R&TTE», which determines the compliance of the equipment with the standards for the operation of radio systems and telecommunications devices:
