Attention! The air conditioning system is constantly under high pressure. Never disconnect refrigeration lines or remove any system components without first discharging the system. The discharge of the air conditioning system must be carried out by an experienced specialist in a car service workshop. Always wear safety goggles when disconnecting refrigerant lines!
1. Discharge the air conditioning system in a specialized workshop.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Attention! If the stereo system installed in the car is equipped with a security code, before disconnecting the battery, make sure that you have the correct combination to activate the audio system!
3. Disconnect the wiring from the pressure sensor-switch and the fan for blowing the A/C air conditioner.
4. Remove the bolts and disconnect the condenser and discharge lines from the capacitor (see accompanying illustration).
5. Remove the condenser brackets on Integra models also remove the upper radiator support brackets (see illustration above).
6. Remove the condenser from the car.
Note. On Integra models, the heatsink must be tilted back to provide adequate working space. Be careful not to damage the condenser and radiator heat exchanger plates.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Note. O-rings must be replaced without fail (lightly lubricate new rings with refrigerant oil before installation).
8. Have the system charged in a specialized workshop.
