Wheel swap
Wheel rotation is carried out in order to evenly wear all tires. Wheels are rearranged according to the 4-wheel scheme) (photo). In a 4-wheel layout, tires can only be swapped on one side of the vehicle, these tires are marked with an arrow on the sidewall (so called "unilateral" tires).
The design of some alloy wheels does not allow them to be installed on a different axle (e.g. rear wheels on the front axle). Moreover, if these disks have "unilateral" tires, it is not possible to change the wheels. In this case, you can dismantle and rearrange the tires in accordance with the marking.
Attention! An abnormal spare wheel is not used in the wheel shifting scheme.
Tire construction
It is recommended to install tires of the same design. When installing radial tires, tires and rims should be selected so that the vehicle's ground clearance and the permissible wheel load are not violated. Radial tires should only be installed as a set. It is forbidden to install radial tires only on the front axle.
Tire care
Tire care comes down to checking the tread depth, tire pressure (tested on cold tires), identifying traces of abnormal wear and damage, by which you can determine the condition of the parts of the front suspension and steering. Tire pressure is indicated on a plate affixed to the driver's door pillar. Regularly remove stones or sharp objects stuck in the tread. Periodically remove the wheels and clean the outer and inner surfaces of the disc from dirt.
