2. Using a jack, raise the car so that the wheel is raised off the ground.
Caution: Be sure to support the opposite wheel with chocks and lock the rear wheels with the parking brake.
3. Remove the wheel and re-tighten the wheel nuts using flat washers.
4. Install the indicator as shown in the figures, move the hub in the axial direction and check the axial play of the hub.

5. If the measured clearance exceeds the norm, replace the bearing (see below).
