Liquid level check
1. The vehicle must be parked on a smooth, level surface with the engine warmed up. The test is carried out with the engine not running.
2. Remove the dipstick from the meter nozzle and wipe it clean. Insert the dipstick into place until it stops in the nozzle, then remove the dipstick and determine the level by the position of the liquid film, which should be between the dipstick marks.
3. If the level is below the lower mark, then add liquid through the meter nozzle by inserting a funnel (on CR-V and 4-cylinder Odyssey models), or through a hole in the transmission case next to the level gauge, closed with a plug with a 6-point turnkey recess (on Odyssey V6). Exceeding the upper liquid level is not allowed.
Transmission Fluid Replacement
1. Warm up the fluid by driving. Raise the front of the car.
2. Remove the drain plug (photo) and drain the liquid. Wrap the plug, replacing the seal. Tighten the plug with a torque of 49 Nm.
3. Pour liquid through the meter nozzle by inserting a funnel (on CR-V and 4-cylinder Odyssey models), or through a hole in the transmission case next to the level gauge, closed with a plug with a 6-point turnkey recess (on Odyssey V6). Exceeding the upper liquid level is not allowed.
4. Run the engine for 1 minute and add fluid so that the level does not reach the top mark of the dipstick by 3 mm. Warm up the engine and check the level, which should be in the HOT range. If necessary, add fluid to the upper HOT range mark.
