2. Raise the rear of the vehicle and remove the rear wheels.
3. Remove the brake disc by unscrewing 2 bolts MB (if necessary, screw in 2 M8 bolts and rotate them evenly, remove the disc).
4. Check the condition of the pads. The thickness of the new block is 2.5 mm, the maximum thickness is 1.0 mm.
5. The inside of the disc drum generally wears less than the main drum brakes. However, if starting off frequently, or frequently driving with the parking brake applied, the condition of the rear disc drum should be checked. Maximum inner diameter of the rear disc brake drum 171 mm (drum diameter on new disc 170 mm). If the diameter is greater than the maximum allowable (stamped on disc), or when signs of heavy wear are found (deep furrows, scratches, chips), replace the disc.
6. Get brackets, having pressed and having turned, and fingers of pads.
7. Remove the regulator, spring and pads.
8. Disconnect the cable and parking brake lever.
9. Remove spring washer, lever, axle and split washer.
10. Lubricate the axle with brake grease when assembling. Install all removed parts in reverse order. Lubricate the thrust parts of the regulator and the friction and end surfaces of the pads with refractory grease.
Adjustment
1. Release the parking brake.
2. Raise the rear of the vehicle and remove the wheels.
3. Remove the hatch from the brake disc and rotate the disc so that the window is at the bottom.
4. Turning the toothed handwheel, spread the pads all the way into the drum, then unscrew the handwheel by 8 teeth.
