1. Release the parking brake lever.

2. Raise the rear of the vehicle and remove the rear wheels.

3. Remove the brake disc by unscrewing 2 bolts MB (if necessary, screw in 2 M8 bolts and, rotating them evenly, remove the disk).

4. Check the condition of the pads. The thickness of the new pad is 2.5 mm, the maximum thickness is 1.0 mm.

5. The inside of the disc drum generally wears less than the main drum brakes. However, if you frequently start off, or if you frequently drive with the parking brake on, the condition of the rear disc drum should be checked. Maximum inner diameter of rear disc brake drum 171 mm (drum diameter on the new disc is 170 mm). If the diameter is greater than the maximum permissible (stamped on the disk), or if signs of severe wear are detected (deep grooves, scratches, chips), replace the disk.

6. Remove the brackets by pressing and turning, and the shoe pins.

7. Remove the regulator, spring and pads.

8. Disconnect the parking brake cable and lever.

9. Remove the spring washer, lever, axle and split washer.

10. When assembling, lubricate the axle with brake grease. Install all removed parts in reverse order. Lubricate the thrust parts of the regulator and the rubbing and end surfaces of the pads with high-melting grease.

Adjustment



1. Release the parking brake.

2. Raise the rear of the vehicle and remove the wheels.

3. Remove the hatch from the brake disc and turn the disc so that the window is at the bottom.

4. Rotate the toothed flywheel to spread the pads until they stop in the drum, then turn the flywheel back by 8 teeth.
