Note: Engine coolant temperature must be below 65°C.
2. Disconnect the vacuum hose (A) from the air intake and connect a vacuum pump/gauge (B) to the hose.

3. Increase and decrease engine speed and watch the vacuum gauge readings, which should change as the engine speed changes.
If the vacuum reading does not change, check the following:
- Are the vacuum lines of the air bypass system installed correctly and are there any leaks, breakages or blockages?.
- Are there any cracks or damage on the air supply bypass valve?.
4. Maintain RPM at 3000 rpm (min⁻¹) without load (in Park or Neutral position), until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle
5. Increase and decrease engine speed and monitor the vacuum gauge readings, which should not change as the engine speed changes.
If the vacuum reading changes, check the following:
- Are the vacuum lines of the air bypass system installed correctly and are there any leaks, breakages or blockages?.
- Are there any cracks or damage on the air supply bypass valve?.
