Note: The parking brake cable must not be bent or deformed. Otherwise, this will result in harsh brake operation and premature cable failure.

14. Installation of the steering knuckle is performed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:


  • First install all suspension components and lightly tighten the bolts and nuts, then place a jack under the lower arm and raise the suspension so that it takes the load of the vehicle, and fully tighten the bolts and nuts to the required torque.
  • When tightening, align the positions of the cam on the adjusting bolt (A) and the adjusting cam (B) with the marks applied.
  • When assembling, install new self-locking nuts.
  • When assembling, install new nuts on the axle shafts.
  • Before tightening the axle nut, apply a small amount of engine oil to the seating surface of the nut. After tightening, use a drift to tap the axle nut shoulder into the groove on the drive shaft.
  • Before installing the brake disc/drum, clean the mating surfaces on the rear wheel hub and the inside of the brake disc/drum.
  • Before installing the wheel, clean the contact surfaces on the brake disc/drum and the inside of the wheel.
  • Check the front wheel alignment angles and adjust if necessary.
