2. Place the gasket (A) under the cylinder head cover into the groove of the cylinder head cover (B).
3. Make sure contact surfaces are clean and dry.
4. Apply sealant 08C70-K0234M, 08C70-K0334M or 08C70-X0331S to the contact surfaces under the chain cover and bracket No. 5 of the valve rocker arm shaft.
Note: Do not install components if more than 5 minutes have passed since applying the sealant. Instead, reapply the sealant, removing any traces of the old one.
5. Install the spark plug seals (A) onto the spark plug tubes. After installing the cover (B) on the cylinder head, move it slightly back and forth to seat the cylinder head cover gasket.
6. Check the cover gaskets (C). Replace any damaged or defective gaskets.
7. Tighten the bolts in two or three passes. On the final pass, tighten all bolts sequentially to 12 Nm (1.2 kgf·m).
8. Install the level indicator (A) and connect the breather hose (B).
9. Tighten the bolt (C) securing the power steering hose bracket.
10. Install four ignition coils.
11. Make sure all tubes, hoses and connectors are connected properly.
12. Install the cover on the intake manifold.
13. After assembly, wait at least 30 minutes before adding oil to the engine.
