1. Clean and dry the contact surfaces of bracket No. 5 of the valve rocker arm shaft.

2. Apply the sealant evenly (08X70-K0234M, 08X70 - K0334M or 08X70-X0331S) on the contact surface of the cylinder head under bracket No. 5 of the valve rocker arm axis.

Note: Do not install components if more than 5 minutes have passed since applying the sealant. Instead, reapply the sealant, removing any traces of the old one.


3. Assemble the valve rocker arms.

Tightening torque:
  • 8mm bolts: 22 Nm (2.2 kgf·m)
  • 6mm bolts: 12 Nm (1.2 kgf·m)
  • 6mm bolts: 21, 22, 23

9. Install the timing chain and adjust the valve clearances.
