2. Apply the sealant evenly (08X70-K0234M, 08X70 - K0334M or 08X70-X0331S) on the contact surface of the cylinder head under bracket No. 5 of the valve rocker arm axis.

Note: Do not install components if more than 5 minutes have passed since applying the sealant. Instead, reapply the sealant, removing any traces of the old one.
3. Assemble the valve rocker arms.
4. Install the bolts (A) into the rocker arm shaft bracket, then install the rocker arm assembly (B) into the cylinder head.

5. Remove the bolts from the valve rocker arm shaft bracket.
6. Place the camshafts (A) in the bracket when the stamped marks on the Electronic Valve Timing Control (VTC) drive and on the exhaust camshaft sprocket are on top.

7. Install the camshaft brackets (B) and the timing belt guide (C) in place.
8. Tighten the mounting bolts to the required torque.

Tightening torque:
- 8mm bolts: 22 Nm (2.2 kgf·m)
- 6mm bolts: 12 Nm (1.2 kgf·m)
- 6mm bolts: 21, 22, 23
9. Install the timing chain and adjust the valve clearances.
