Checking the drive belt
Make sure the automatic tensioner indicator (A) is within the standard range (B) as shown. Otherwise, replace the drive belt.

Replacing the drive belt
1. Remove the mud deflector.
2. Slide the automatic tensioner (A), release the tension from the drive belt (B), and remove the drive belt (drawing in the middle column at the top).
3. Install the new belt in the reverse order of removal.
Checking the automatic drive belt tensioner

1. Before and after starting the engine, check whether the position of the automatic tensioner indicator has changed. If the position has changed, replace the automatic tensioner.

2. Check if there is any unusual noise from the tensioner pulley. If unusual noise is heard, replace the tensioner pulley.
3. Remove the drive belt.
4. Using the belt tensioner tool, move the automatic tensioner within its travel in the direction shown. Check if the tensioner moves smoothly and without noise. If the tensioner does not move smoothly or makes unusual noise, replace the automatic tensioner.

5. Remove the automatic tensioner.
6. Install the tensioner pulley.
7. Secure the automatic tensioner (A) with two 8mm bolts (B) and a vise (C) as shown in the figure. Do not clamp the automatic tensioner itself.

8. Place the torque wrench (D) on the pulley bolt.
9. Align the indicator (E) at the base of the tensioner with the center mark (F) on the tensioner arm using a torque wrench and measure the torque. If the tightening torque value is different from the standard, replace the automatic tensioner.
Note: If the indicator goes beyond the center mark, recheck the tightening torque.
Automatic tensioner spring torque: 26.5-36.3 Nm (2.7-3.7 kgf·m)
Replacing the automatic drive belt tensioner
1. Remove the drive belt.
2. Remove the power steering pump without disconnecting the hoses.

3. Remove the tensioner pulley.

4. Remove the automatic tensioner.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
