Starter replacement (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery, then the positive cable.

2. Disconnect the knock sensor connector.

3. Unscrew the bolt securing the wiring bracket.

4. Disconnect the starter cable (A) from terminal B on the solenoid, then disconnect the black wire with white stripe (B) from terminal S.

5. Remove the two bolts securing the starter, then remove the starter.



6. The starter is installed in the reverse order of removal. When connecting the starter cable, make sure the cable lug (A) faces the crimped side outward.

7. Connect the positive and negative cables to the battery.

8. Start the engine and make sure the starter is working properly.
