Removal
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Disconnect the cooling hoses and wiring connectors from the manifold and throttle body.
4. Disconnect the throttle and cruise control cables from the throttle body.
5. Decompress the fuel system, remove the fuel pressure regulator and injectors (Chapter 5).
6. Remove the thermostat from the manifold by unscrewing the bolts.
7. To access the nuts securing the manifold to the cylinder head, it is recommended to remove the upper chamber and throttle pipe.
8. Loosen the bolts and remove the manifold bracket. To access the bracket bolts, it is recommended to raise the vehicle.
9. Loosen the manifold mounting nuts in a diagonal order, starting from the periphery and moving towards the center. Remove the manifold and clean it.
Installation
10. Install the manifold in place, replacing the gasket. Install the manifold bracket and tighten the manifold mounting bolt to 22 Nm.
11. Tighten the manifold mounting nuts in a diagonal order to a torque of 24 Nm.
12. Further assembly is carried out in reverse order. Adjust the cables when finished.
