Lower ball joint — check (Honda CR-V 1)

1. Raise the vehicle.

2. Raise the lower arm with a jack by 50 mm.

3. Rock the wheel in a vertical plane, pushing it towards you and away from you.

4. If any play is detected, insert a pry bar between the steering knuckle and the lower arm, then rock the wheel. If there is play in the ball joint on CR-V and 4-cylinder Odyssey vehicles, replace the lower ball joint. On an Odyssey V6, replace the lower control arm.
