Withdrawal
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the front wheels.
3. Turn away on a rack bolts of fastening of an arm of a hose.
4. Turn away a coupling bolt of fastening of a fork to the shock-absorber, then a bolt of fastening of a fork to the bottom lever and remove a plug.
5. On Odyssey V6 models:
- A. Remove the speed sensor wiring bracket
- b. Remove the brake hose bracket
- V. Remove the upper stabilizer link
- d. Mark the location of the steering knuckle on the rack, unscrew the nuts of the coupling bolts securing the rack to the fist.
6. Turn away nuts of fastening of a rack from outside a motor compartment. Remove the stand.
7. Check the condition of the rack mounts, replace damaged parts.
8. Remove the spring.
Installation
9. Install the stand in place and tighten the top mounting nuts by hand.
10. On CR-Vs and 4-cylinder Odysseys, assembly is in reverse order. Finally tighten the fork bolts and top nuts after the vehicle is off the jack.
11. On Odyssey cars:
- A. Tighten the speed sensor wiring bracket bolts to 9.3 Nm.
- b. Tighten the brake hose bolts to 22 Nm.
- c. Install the upper stabilizer link and tighten to 78 Nm.
- d. Align knuckle and strut marks
- e. Screw the nuts onto the pinch bolts securing the strut to the steering knuckle.
12. Install a jack under the lower control arm, raise your fist so that it takes the weight of the car. Torque tighten the shock absorber (Nm):
- a. Coupling bolts of fastening of a rack to a rotary fist 157
- b. Rack mounting nuts 39
12. Check and adjust the angles of the front wheels.
Disassembly
On the rack, only the spring changes. If the strut shock absorber is out of order, replace the strut.
