The upper ball joint and the suspension arm are a non-separable structure. If the ball joint fails, replace the upper arm assembly.
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Raise the lower arm with a jack by 50 mm.
3. Rock the wheel in a vertical plane, pushing in and out.
4. If play is found, wiggle the top arm bushing pry bar. If there is play in the bushings, replace the upper arm. Insert a pry bar between the steering knuckle and upper arm, then rock the wheel. If there is play, replace the lever.
