Front wheels
Withdrawal
1. Remove the steering knuckle (see below).
2. On CR-V and Odyssey V6 models, press the front hub out of the bearing assembly.
3. On 4-cylinder Odyssey, unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the hub.
4. Place the hub on a base with a sufficiently deep arbor and press the studs out of the hub using a hydraulic press or ball hammer.
Installation
5. Place a mandrel under the hub so that the stud is pressed in without distortion. Press the stud until the stud head rests on the hub.
6. Further installation is carried out in reverse order On the CR-V and Odyssey V6 models, replace the wheel bearing and press the hub into the steering knuckle. On 4-cylinder Odysseys, install the hub into the knuckle. Replace hub nut. Torque connections (see at the end of the Chapter).
Rear wheels
Withdrawal
1. Remove the rear wheel hub (see below).
2. Place the hub on a base with a sufficiently deep arbor and press the studs out of the hub using a hydraulic press or ball hammer.
Installation
3. Substitute a mandrel under the hub so that the stud is pressed in without distortion. Press the stud until the stud head rests on the hub.
4. Further installation is performed in the reverse order. Replace the wheel nut with each pressed stud. On CR-V and 4-cylinder Odyssey models, replace the hub nut, which must be tightened to 181 Nm (CR-V) or 245 Nm (Odyssey) and lock by pushing the collar of the nut into the groove on the axle. On Odyssey V6 models, replace the hub cap.
