Removal
1. Loosen the wheel nuts.
2. Raise the car.
3. Remove the front wheels.
4. On CR-V and 6-cylinder Odyssey vehicles, disconnect the lower stabilizer link and remove the strut yoke through bolt
5. On 4-cylinder Odysseys, remove the strut bar fasteners to the lower control arm.
6. Loosen the lower ball joint nut, then press the ball joint out of the lower arm.
7. Remove the lower arm bushing fasteners and remove the arm.
Installation
8. Installation is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following.
- a. On CR-V and 4-cylinder Odyssey vehicles, lubricate the lower control arm bushings with silicone grease, replace the strut fork-to-lower control arm nut. Tighten the nut and bolt to 64 Nm, tighten the castle nut to 49-59 Nm, replace the ball joint nut cotter pin.
- b. On CR-V vehicles, tighten the lower arm fasteners to the specified torque (Nm):
- Front bolt 103
- Rear Hub Bracket Bolts 89
- Rear Hub Self-Locking Nut (Replace) 83
- c. On 4-cylinder Odysseys, tighten the front lower control arm bolt to 54 Nm.
- d. On V6 Odyssey vehicles, tighten the lower control arm fasteners to the specified torque (Nm):
- front and rear bolts 93 Rear hub bracket bolts 89
- ball joint crown nut (replace the cotter pin) 59-69
- e. Tighten the wheel nuts to 108 Nm.
