Withdrawal
1. Loosen the wheel nuts.
2. Raise the car.
3. Remove the front wheels.
4. On CR-V and 6-cylinder Odysseys, disconnect the lower stabilizer link and unscrew the through bolt of the strut fork
5. On 4-cylinder Odysseys, remove the suspension bar mounts from the lower control arm.
6. Loosen the lower ball joint nut, then press the ball joint out of the lower arm.
7. Remove the lower arm bushings and remove the arm.
Installation
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.
- a. On CR-V and 4-cylinder Odysseys, lubricate lower arm bushings with silicone grease, replace strut fork to lower arm nut. Tighten the nut and bolt to 64 Nm, tighten the slotted nut to 49-59 Nm, replace the ball joint nut cotter pin.
- b. On CR-V vehicles, tighten the lower arm mountings to the specified torque (Nm):
- Front bolt 103
- Rear hub bracket bolts 89
- Rear hub self-locking nut (replace) 83
- c. On 4-cylinder Odyssey, torque lower arm front bolt to 54 Nm.
- d. On V6 Odyssey vehicles, tighten the lower arm mountings to the specified torque (Nm):
- front and rear bolts 93 rear hub bracket bolts 89
- ball joint slotted nut (replace cotter pin) 59-69
- e. Tighten the wheel nuts to 108 Nm.
