From the inner hinge side
1. Remove the snap ring from the inner joint.

2. Remove the clamps from the covers. Do not damage the cover and dynamic shock absorber.
- If the boot clamps are of the welded type (A), cut the clamp (B).

- If the boot clamps are of the two-turn type (C), bend the clamp bend (D) and press it into the bracket (E).

- If the boot clamps are of the low profile type (F), clamp the boot clamp with pliers (G) (available for sale).

3. Place marks (A) on each roller (B) and the inner joint (C) to indicate the position of the rollers and grooves in the inner joint. Then remove the inner hinge and place it on a napkin (D). Be careful not to drop the rollers when separating them from the inner hinge.

4. Place marks (A) on the rollers (B) and crosspiece (C) to indicate the position of the rollers on the crosspiece, then remove the rollers.

5. Remove the ring clamp (D).
6. Place a mark on the crosspiece (C) and drive shaft (E) to indicate the position of the crosspiece on the shaft.
7. Remove the crosspiece (C).
8. To avoid damaging the inner boot, wrap the drive shaft splines with vinyl tape (A).

9. Remove the inner cover. Do not damage the case.
10. Remove the vinyl tape.
From the outer hinge side
1. Remove the cover clamps. Do not damage the clamp and dynamic shock absorber.
If the cover clamps have tongue fasteners (A), bend back the three tongues (B) with a screwdriver.

2. Slide the outer cover (A) towards the inner cover. Do not damage the case.

3. Wipe off grease from the drive shaft and the inner ring of the outer joint.
4. Apply a paint mark (A) to the drive shaft (B) to indicate the position of the end of the outer joint (C).

5. Carefully secure the drive shaft in a vice.
6. Remove the outer joint (A) using the special tool as shown in the figure.

7. Remove the drive shaft from the vice.
8. Remove the retaining ring from the drive shaft.

9. To prevent damage to the outer boot, wrap the drive shaft splines with vinyl tape (A).

10. Remove the outer cover. Do not damage the case.
11. Remove the vinyl tape.
