5. Loosen and loosen the hub nut.
6. Unscrew the self-locking nut, flange bolts and disconnect the shock absorber fork.
7. Using a special tool, disconnect the steering knuckle from the lower arm.
About using the special tool see ch. Front and rear suspension.
If there is rust at the joint between the ball joint pin and the boot, replace the boot (see ch. Front and rear suspension).
8. Pull the steering knuckle to the outside, hit the end of the drive shaft with a plastic hammer and remove the outer hinge from the wheel hub.
9. Prepare the tool shown in the figure.
10. Holding the inner joint, pull the drive shaft out of the differential/jackshaft.
Attention:
- If you insert the end of the tool too deeply, you may damage the differential seal.
- Pulling the pivot at an angle can damage the differential seal.
- Pulling on the drive shaft may cause the rollers to fall out. If the rollers fall out, remove the cover and reinstall them.
