Checking clearances on the intermediate shaft assembly (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Measure the clearance between the 1st gear pinion (A) and the spacer sleeve (B) using a feeler gauge (C). If the clearance exceeds the specified limit, proceed to step 1. 2.

Standard	0.06-0.16 mm
Limit	0.25 mm

2. Measure the thickness of the spacer sleeve.

If the thickness differs from the norm, replace the spacer sleeve with a new one.
If the thickness is within the normal range, proceed to step. 3.

Standard: 23.03-23.08 mm

3. Measure the thickness of the 1st gear.

If the thickness of the 1st gear is less than the specified limit, replace the 1st gear with a new one.
If the thickness of the 1st gear is within the specified limit, replace the 1st/2nd gear synchronizer hub with a new one.

Standard	22.82-22.97 mm
Limit	22.87 mm

4. Measure the clearance between the 2nd (A) and 3rd (B) gears using a feeler gauge (C). If the clearance exceeds the specified limit, proceed to step 1. 5.

Standard	0.06-0.16 mm
Limit	0.25 mm

5. Measure the thickness of the spacer sleeve.

If the thickness differs from the norm, replace the spacer sleeve with a new one.
If the thickness is within the normal range, proceed to step. 6.

Standard: 23.03-23.08 mm

6. Measure the thickness of the 2nd gear.

If the thickness of the 2nd gear is less than the specified limit, replace the 2nd gear with a new one.
If the thickness of the 2nd gear is within the specified limit, replace the 1st/2nd gear synchronizer hub with a new one.
