Disassembling the intermediate shaft (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Securely clamp the intermediate shaft assembly in a vice using wooden blocks.



2. Unscrew the special bolt (left hand thread).

3. Place the ball bearing (A) on steel blocks (B) and press the intermediate shaft out of the ball bearing using a press (C) and a special tool (D).



4. Remove the 35mm adjusting washer and spacer sleeve.

5. Place the 4th gear pinion (A) on steel blocks (B) and press the intermediate shaft (E) out of the 5th gear pinion using a press (C) and a special tool (D).



6. Install the 2nd gear pinion (A) onto steel blocks (B) and press out the intermediate shaft (E) from the 3rd gear pinion using a press (C) and a special tool (D).
