Checking the intermediate shaft (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Check the gear and bearing surfaces for wear and damage, then measure the intermediate shaft at points A, B and C. If any part of the intermediate shaft is less than the specified limit, replace it with a new one.

2. Check the runout by placing the intermediate shaft with both ends on supports. Turn the intermediate shaft two full revolutions. If the runout exceeds the specified limit, replace the intermediate shaft with a new one.
