Note: Do not allow dust or other foreign particles to enter the gearbox.
1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan will turn on), having taken a trip by car
2. Park the car on a level surface, then turn off the engine.
3. Remove the dipstick (with a yellow ring) (A) from the gearbox and wipe with a rag.

4. Reinsert the dipstick into the gearbox.
5. Remove the dipstick (A) and check the fluid level. It should be at the level of the top mark (B).

6. If the level is below the upper mark, check for fluid leaks from the gearbox, hose, at the joints of the line and cooler tubes.
7. Add fluid into the dipstick hole and bring it up to the upper mark. Always use only Genuine Honda ATF-21 Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).
Note: Use of other fluids may adversely affect transmission performance.
8. Insert the dipstick (A) back into the gearbox, turning the handle (ring) towards the breather tube (B).
