1. Thoroughly clean the areas where the transfer case assembly and transmission meet with solvent or carburetor cleaner and dry with compressed air. Then apply transmission fluid to the contact areas. When installing the transfer case assembly, do not allow dust or other foreign particles to enter the gearbox.

3. Insert the two bolts from the rear of the transfer case housing, then install the transfer case assembly (B) with the alignment pin (C).

4. Attach the propeller shaft (A) to the transfer case connecting flange (B), aligning the marks (C).

5. Fill the transmission fluid.

6. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan will turn on). Turn off the engine and check the fluid level.
