Note: Do not allow dust or other foreign particles to enter the gearbox.
1. Warm up the gearbox to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan will turn on), having taken a trip by car.
2. Park the car on a level surface, then turn off the engine.
3. Remove the drain plug (A) and drain the transmission fluid (ATF).

4. Screw the plug into the drain hole, installing a new sealing washer (B).
5. Fill the gearbox with the recommended fluid through the dipstick hole to the upper mark on the dipstick scale. Always use Genuine Honda ATF-21 Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF). Use of other fluids may adversely affect transmission performance.
