1. Unscrew the oil filter with a special key.

2. Check the condition of the threads (A) and rubber seal (B) on the new filter. Wipe the seat on the cylinder block, then apply a thin layer of oil to the rubber filter seal. Install filters only with a built-in bypass system.

  • Tightening: ¾ turn clockwise
  • Tightening torque: 12 Nm (1.2 kgf·m)

5. If there are 4 numbers or marks (1 to 4 or ▼ to ▼ ▼▼▼) on the outside of the filter, tighten the filter as follows.
  • Turn the filter until the rubber seal snaps into place and see what number or mark is visible on the bottom.
  • Tighten the filter by turning clockwise 3 numbers or marks from the marked point. For example, if the number 2 is visible when the rubber seal is in place, then the filter should be tightened until the number 1 appears opposite the marked point.
