Note:
  • Do not spill brake fluid on your car as it may damage the paintwork; if liquid does spill, wash it off immediately with water.
  • At the beginning of the bleeding procedure, the fluid level in the reservoir on the master cylinder should be at the (upper) MAX mark (A). The level should be checked after bleeding each brake caliper and fluid should be added if necessary.

  • Do not reuse drained brake fluid.
  • Always use Genuine Honda DOT3 brake fluid. Using other fluids may cause corrosion and reduce the life of the brake system.
  • Do not allow dirt or other foreign material to enter the brake fluid.


1. Place a piece of clear plastic tubing over the first bleed nipple and place the other end in a container of fresh brake fluid.

2. Ask an assistant to slowly pump the brake pedal several times, then press the pedal and hold it down.

3. Loosen the bleed screw on the left front brake and release air from the system. Then tighten the bleed screw securely.

4. Repeat the operation on each wheel in the indicated sequence until no more air bubbles come out of the liquid.
