2. Release the parking brake lever completely. Move the driver's seat (on right-hand drive vehicles: passenger seat) forward.
3. Roll the mat under the seat. Remove the screw and bolt from the parking brake equalizer cover (A).
4. Remove the return spring (A).
5. Pull the parking brake lever 1 click.
6. Tighten the adjusting nut (A) until the parking brake slightly grabs when turning the rear wheels.
7. Release the parking brake lever completely and check that the parking brake does not grab when the rear wheels turn. If necessary, readjust.
8. Replace the return spring and parking brake equalizer cover.
9. Make sure the parking brake is fully engaged by fully pulling the parking brake lever.
