Testing the Parking Brake Switch (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Remove the lower panel from the driver's side.

2. Disconnect the connector from the parking brake switch (A).



3. Check if there is continuity between the switch contact (B) and ground:

• When the lever (top) (C) is tightened, there should be conductivity.

• When the lever (bottom) (D) is released, there should be no conductivity.

Note:

• If both the ABS indicator and the brake system indicator come on at the same time, check the ABS system.
• If the parking brake switch/brake fluid level switch is OK but the brake system indicator does not work, check the ABS system.
