Note:
- Do not reuse drained brake fluid.
- Use only clean Genuine Honda brake fluid or equivalent DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid.
- Do not allow dirt or other foreign matter to enter the brake fluid.
- Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle, as it can ruin the paintwork; If fluid does spill, wash it off immediately with water.
- At the beginning of the bleeding procedure, the fluid level in the reservoir on the master cylinder should be at (top) MAX mark. The level should be checked after bleeding each brake caliper and top up if necessary.
1. Make sure the brake fluid level in the reservoir is at (top) MAX mark.
2. Ask the assistant to shake the brake pedal slowly several times, then depress the pedal and keep it pressed.
3. Loosen the bleed screw and purge air from the system. Then securely tighten the bleed screw.
4. Repeat the operation on each wheel in the sequence shown until no more air bubbles come out of the liquid.
Note: The illustration shows a left-hand drive model; the location on the right-hand drive model is symmetrical.
5. Fill the master cylinder reservoir to (top) MAX labels.
