1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely.
2. Release the parking brake lever completely. Move the driver's seat (on right-hand drive vehicles: passenger seat) forward.
3. Roll the floor mat under the seat. Remove the screw and bolt from the parking brake equalizer cover (A).

4. Remove the return spring (A).

5. Loosen the adjusting nut (A) in the brake equalizer.

6. Remove the rear wheels.
7. Unscrew the plug (A).

8. Turn the ratchet teeth (B) on the adjuster assembly (C) using a flat-blade screwdriver (D) until the shoes contact the drum. Then unscrew it eight clicks and screw in the plug.
9. Perform minor adjustment operations.
10. Install the rear wheels.
