Attention! The brake fluid should be changed every 72,000 km or every 3 years.
When removing or replacing the modulator (valve block) ABS system must be bled from each channel of the modulator.
1. Drain the brake fluid and wipe the master cylinder reservoir.
2. Put a hose on the bleed valve, lower the other end of it into a container with brake fluid.
3. Air removal is carried out in the sequence left front wheel - right front - right rear - left rear.
4. Have an assistant depress and hold the brake pedal 3 or 4 times. Loosen the bleed screw 1/4 turn. After unscrewing the fitting, the pedal should move forward.
5. Close the bleeder screw and have an assistant release the pedal slowly. Check the fluid level in the reservoir and top up if necessary. When removing air, monitor the level of liquid in the tank, preventing it from being emptied.
6. Repeat the procedure until the appearance of bubbles stops (usually at least 4-5 times), check the pedal travel and stiffness. An excessively large stroke and softness of the pedal indicate the presence of air in the hydraulic circuit.
The sequence of bleeding from the brake system: 1. Front left; 2. Rear right; 3. Rear left; 4. Front left | Check the fluid level in the tank, and if necessary, restore it during pumping: 1. Top level mark; 2. Tank; 3. Master cylinder |
