Drum brake parts: 1. Brake shoe adjuster spring; 2. Lower spring; 3. Regulator lever; 4. Emphasis B; 5. Upper spring; 6. Manual brake pad drive lever; 7. Strut screw A; 8. Split washer; 9. Spring clamp; 10. Block; 11. Parking brake spring; 12. Brake cylinder; 13. Brake shield; 14. Pin; 15. Regulator
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and remove the wheel.
2. Screw 2 bolts 8x1.25 into the threaded holes in the drum and, by rotating them, remove the drum.
3. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Examination
Check the drum for cracks, wear ridges and ovality. Minor damage can be removed by turning. If significant damage is found, replace the drum. Check the hub for free rotation.
The maximum permissible internal diameter is stamped on the drum.
If after turning the diameter is less than the maximum permissible value, replace the drum. New drum diameter:
- 219.9-220.0 mm, maximum 221 mm (CR-V)
- 253.9-254.0 mm, limit 255 mm (Odyssey V6)
