Drum brake details: 1. Pad adjuster spring; 2. Lower spring; 3. Regulator lever; 4. Stop B; 5. Upper spring; 6. The lever of a manual drive of pads; 7. Spacer screw A; 8. Split washer; 9. Spring clip; 10. Block; 11. Parking brake spring; 12. Brake cylinder; 13. Brake shield; 14. Pin; 15. Regulator
1. Raise the rear of the car and remove the wheel.
2. Screw 2 bolts 8x1.25 into the threaded holes in the drum and rotate them to remove the drum.
3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Examination
Check the drum for cracks, shoulder due to wear and ovality. Minor damage is removed with a groove. If significant damage is found, replace the drum. Check the freedom of rotation of the hub.
The maximum permissible inner diameter is stamped on the drum.
If after turning the diameter is less than the maximum allowable, then replace the drum. New drum diameter:
- 219.9-220.0 mm, limit 221 mm (CR-V)
- 253.9-254.0 mm, limit 255 mm (Odyssey V6)
