2. Check for wear, cracks and overheating on the contact surface of the flywheel under the driven clutch disc.
3. Measure the flywheel runout (A) using a dial indicator (B) for at least two full revolutions with the engine installed. Apply pressure to the flywheel as it rotates to eliminate the crankshaft thrust washer clearance. If the runout exceeds the allowable limit, replace the flywheel and recheck the runout. Regrinding the flywheel is not recommended.
