Replacing the hood latch (Honda CR-V 2)

1. If equipped, disconnect the connector (A) from the hood latch switch and detach the harness clamp (B) from the body.



2. Remove the bolts, then remove the hood latch (A) from the body.



3. Disconnect the hood release cable (A) from the hood latch (B). Do not bend the cable.



4. Install the hood latch in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:

• Apply grease to the areas of the hood latch indicated by the arrows.

• Make sure the hood release cable is connected properly and the hood latch switch connector is securely connected (on some models).
• Adjust the position of the hood latch.
• Make sure the hood opens properly and locks securely.
