Replacing the rear door glass lock (Honda CR-V 2)

Note:
  • Be careful not to scratch the back door.
  • Wear protective gloves.


1. Remove the lower trim panel of the rear door.

2. Disconnect the connector (A) from the rear door glass lock switch, the connector (B) from the rear door glass lock (B), and separate the rear door glass lock connector from the rear door.

3. Remove the bolts, then remove the rear door glass lock (C).

4. Disconnect the rear door glass rod (A), then remove the rear door glass lock (B). Do not bend the rod.

5. The lock is installed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
  • Make sure the connectors are properly connected and all rods are securely connected.
  • Make sure the rear door glass lock unlocks properly and locks securely.
