Note:
- Be careful not to scratch the back door.
- Wear protective gloves.
1. Remove the lower trim panel of the rear door.
2. Remove the rear door lock.
- Disconnect the rear door lock rod (B) and the cylinder rod (C).
- Disconnect the connector (D) from the drive.
- Remove the screws securing the lock.
- Remove the lock through the hole in the rear door. Do not bend the rear door lock rods and cylinder.

3. The lock is installed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Make sure the drive connector is connected properly and all rods are connected securely.
- If the rear lock rod (A) has become disconnected from the upper end (from the rear door limiter assembly side), connect its lower end to the bottom of the hole in the lever (B).

- Make sure the rear door lock locks and unlocks properly.
