Removal



1. Remove the decorative cylinder head cover.

2. Remove the air filter housing.

3. Disconnect the air hose, vacuum hose and PCV hose.

C - crankcase ventilation hose.


4. Loosen the lock nut and remove the accelerator cable.

5. Disconnect the wiring harness retainer and coolant bypass hose.

A - coolant bypass hose,

6. Disconnect the fuel vapor recovery system hose.

7. Remove the throttle body.

9. Disconnect the connectors and wire harnesses, clamps, and stand from the intake manifold.
  • Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Connector.
  • Throttle position sensor connector.
  • RACV connector.
  • Connector of the solenoid valve of the fuel vapor recovery system.

10. Remove the intake manifold stand, intake manifold and EGR valve plate.

Installation



1. Install a new gasket, O-rings, EGR valve plate and intake manifold.

2. Install the intake manifold stand and tighten the bolts.

C - recirculation system valve plate,
D - intake manifold,
E, F - bolt.


3. Connect the coolant bypass hose.

4. Install the new gasket and throttle body.

5. Connect the evaporative emission system hose, vacuum hose, and PCV hose.

7. Install the throttle cable.

8. Connect the air hose, vacuum hose and PCV hose.

9. Install the air filter housing.



10. Install the decorative cylinder head cover.

11. Fill with coolant, make sure there are no vapor locks.
