Fuel filter: 1. Union bolt; 2. Gaskets
CR-V and 4-cylinder Odyssey models
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Turn out a stopper of a mouth of a tank.
3. Depressurize the system by releasing the fitting on the filter. Turn away the union and disconnect from the filter of a tube.
4. Turn away bolts and remove the filter.
5. When installing, replace the fitting gaskets. At the end, turn on the ignition several times without starting the engine (this will restore the fuel pressure).
V6 Odyssey
On these models, the fuel filter is mounted on the fuel pump and changes only when the fuel pressure drops below 2.8-3.3 atm (with the vacuum hose disconnected and plugged at the pressure regulator) and with a known good fuel pump and regulator. The replacement procedure is no different from that discussed in Ch. 5 to remove the fuel pump.
