There are three systems of standards for measuring cold start current in the world: IEC, DIN, SAE. To avoid complicated technical explanations, we provide an official formula for converting SAE and IEC cold start current values to DIN standards.
DIN = SAE x 0.63
DIN = IEC x 0,87
The distilled water required for topping up the battery can be replaced with water obtained by melting the ice build-up from the freezer compartment of the refrigerator. Before pouring into the battery, water must be boiled for 10-15 minutes and filtered through a paper filter.
Use the same tire size, model and design on the same axle.
Never use a new tire and a used one together on the same axle.
Synthetic oils widely used in aviation and rocket technology (usually dyed red) It is strictly forbidden to use in automotive technology! When aerospace lubricants interact with automotive elastomers, oil seals, seals and gaskets are immediately destroyed.
Do not mix motor oils of different types - synthetic, mineral and semi-synthetic. Of particular danger is the mixing of synthetic motor oils from different manufacturers, because. in this case, not only additives, but also base bases, when mixed, can enter into a chemical reaction with unpredictable (often deplorable) result!
Due to the fundamental differences in the properties and chemical composition of automatic transmission oils and the characteristics of classic motor / gear oils, it is forbidden to replace these oils with each other.
Never "nurse" on one gulf of engine oil more than the period recommended by the automaker (even if it's synthetic)! If your car is used in difficult conditions (urban cycle, frequent start-stop, dusty roads, long driving in low gears, etc.), change the engine oil twice as often as recommended by the car manufacturer! And don't forget to change the oil filter!
If it is very cold outside, do not apply the handbrake even briefly: the brake pads can freeze to the drums and you will not budge.
